Our restaurant was born in the 1989 from a rebuilding of a typical Livigno’s house known also like “Al bait da Metilda”.
Our passion together with the simplicity of every Family restaurant has carried us great satisfactions, between which the signalling on the prestigious guides “Michelin”, “Gambero Rosso” and “L’Espresso”.
Special restaurant classy and cosyWe visited La Pioda to celebrate a special occasion, the great food and the super polite staff made it even a more special evening. They also surprised us with a cake :-)
Local cusine, interesting menu. A bit different then a typical restaurant in Livigno. Pastas and risotto really exceptional. Meat dishes simple and tender.
Fabulous dinner, very friendly waiting staff and excellent selection of dishes for anyone with dietary requirements.
Great deer steak and the lamb. Try wine. Superb experience. But to be aware that reservation is obligatory.
Dinner at La Pioda is an extraordinary experience. We had speciality menu, which consists of different pieces od meat that you can cook on your own on an lava stone located at your table. Live cooking rules. Try it and you will not be disappointed.
We stayed in a nearby hotel, so it was one of the reasons we chose this restaurant for dinner. The second reason was the great reviews here. And we were happy to try it because we had an excellent dinner there. The place was pretty packed when we entered without a reservation, but the staff could give us a table really quickly. The waiters are really friendly and helpful with the menu/wine list. Our food was really delicious - try the tagliatelle with chestnut! Highly recommended!
